Our Schools Budgets! Where did the Money Go???

Remember when we were all little, what did everyone ever ask you? What do you want to be when you grow up! The response's were always...A Nurse! A Doctor! A Lawyer! A TEACHER!

Yes a Teacher! You know the people that have more than 50 percent of the time with your children than you do, for at least 18 or more years of their lives! But guess what that occupation is slowly slipping away! You know why? Because our school systems can't employee them! They do not have any money! They are all in a threat of being taken over by the state! Give us more Tax Levey money, or all of your kids are going to be taking basic general classes, no sports, the threats go on and on! Oh and did I tell you at least in our school district, they are not even hiring new teachers, they are bringing back Retired Teachers, because they are cheaper! They have their retirement money, the have the insurance from their retirement package and they give them a lower salary! So let's get this straight, the schools are saying come on kids, you need to get a good education! Stay in school, try to become the best you can! But what are they going to become? Believe me I know it's not just the teaching occupation that is hurting.  You wonder why so many kids have made their occupation of  being a full time student, it's because they do not know what to do or where they are going to find a job!

Oh and I have just learned this, if you live in a school district that for some reason have used up all of their "snow days" and they are not going to be making them up at the end of the year, it is because they just realized it is cheaper to pay the penalty to the state, then to make sure our kids have the education they are suppose to be receiving! Wow!
